Woodthorpe Stables, Godalming
Conversion of period stable building to family eco home.
About the project
We were asked by owner and architect Ed Martin from Delve Architects to assist on the extension and refurbishment of his family home.
We undertook extensive renewable insulation upgrades including a glasscrete floor slab, eco-therm and wood wool board walls and ceiling. Installation of complete air source heat pump and underfloor heating system.
The property received 2 Douglas Fir timber frame extensions and all new windows and doors throughout in Douglas Fir to match.
There were extensive Bargate stone and lime mortar alterations throughout, new limestone floors and clay plaster finishes to allow the building to breath.
We fitted single ply roofs finished in sedum green roof systems, externals were clad in cedar shingles and roof line finished in galvanised rain water system.
