Decorate a house in need competition – Terms and conditions

Eligibility

Location: Nominations must be for homes located in the Godalming area (or specified surrounding areas).
Homeowner/Landlord Consent: The person nominated must either own the property or have written permission from the landlord to make cosmetic improvements.
Nominee’s Need: Nominees should be individuals or families who are facing difficult circumstances, such as financial hardship, illness, or other challenges that have prevented them from maintaining or improving their home.

Submission: Nominations must be submitted via the specified method (comment or direct message), providing the nominee’s story and why they would benefit from the project.
Deadline: Nominations must be submitted by 14 days after post.
Privacy: Any personal details provided in nominations will be treated confidentially and used only for the purpose of the campaign.

Number of Homes: A maximum of two homes will be selected for this campaign.
Selection Criteria: Homes will be chosen based on the level of need, impact on the household, and the feasibility of the project (size, condition of the property, etc.).
Final Decision: The final decision on the homes selected will be made by ALCO Properties, and the selected participants will be contacted directly.

Scope of Work: The project will include painting selected areas of the home’s Exterior, depending on need. Structural repairs or major renovations are not part of the campaign.
Timeframe: The work will take place between November 2024 and February 2025, depending on weather and availability.
Liability: ALCO Properties and Ashley & Lewis are not responsible for any unforeseen issues that may arise during or after the painting process, such as hidden structural damage or other property defects.

Participation: By participating, the nominee agrees to allow photos and videos of the project to be shared on social media and other marketing platforms.
Credits: Ashley & Lewis will be credited as the supplier of the paint, but no other sponsor or business names will be associated without consent.

Changes: ALCO Properties reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the campaign at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
